Mary Murphy

Mary Murphy is an actor, voice-over artist, theatre educator, and audio describer. She has performed in theatre, film, television, animation, audio dramas, radio, audio books, and video games.

A few of her favorite recent credits include: the one woman play An Evening With Lola Montez, where she enjoyed the challenge of tapping into the spirit of this fiery figure, flexing Lola’s extraordinary verbal and physical dexterity, and It’s A Wonderful Life, a production that bridged the worlds of live theatre with the nostalgic elements of old-time radio, and gave her an opportunity to play a broad range of delightful characters from Bedford Falls. She was also excited to recently perform in the live streamed version of Near Nellie Bly, a poignant play based on the infamous Blackwell’s Island expose.

As a voice-over artist she’s lent her versatility to numerous characters, in addition to her narration and commercial experience. Some select credits are the animated series Octonauts, The Center for New American Media, LeapFrog, and Disney.

Her professional affiliations include AEA, SAG-AFTRA, IRISH EQUITY, NYWIFT, and Women In Animation.
